The Animal Welfare League of South Australia (AWL) is an animal welfare and care provider recognised for the provision and development of services for animals in need.
Established in 1964, the AWL operates a Shelter at Edinburgh North, with the new Animal Care Centre at Wingfield opening in mid 2020.
The AWL cares for and re-homes, around 12,000 surrendered, lost and abandoned animals, per year.
The AWL's focus is the re-homing of lost, surrendered and abandoned animals and reuniting lost pets with their owners.
The AWL is proud of its contribution in providing a high quality animal care facilities and related services to the state's animals, their owners and the broader community.
