Lost Pet Help Sheet
If your pet is lost, act fast.
Most lost dogs are picked up almost immediately and taken to a council pound. Under the dog control act any dog “seized” may be disposed of after 72 hours from the time of seizure. For cats there is no holding time. Your quick action can save your pet.
Checklist of things you need to do:
- Contact your local council.
- Enquire at the animal welfare league daily
- Enquire at the RSPCA daily: City 08 8231 6931 | Lonsdale 08 8382 0888
